Retyping 300 lines a day between two systems
The warehouse printed a report each afternoon so someone in the office could key it into the finance system. There was no interface, and no budget for one.
ETL without the capital project. Getting data from one place to another without a printer and a pair of hands in the middle.
Two systems need the same data and don’t talk to each other. Today a person moves it across: printing, rekeying, or copying and pasting between screens. A proper integration was quoted at a price that made no sense.
Most systems can already write a scheduled export and accept an import file. I build the narrow bridge between the two: read the export, map the codes and units, hold back anything that doesn’t match, and drop a clean file where the other system expects it.
Data that moves on a schedule without anyone in the middle. A mapping table your team can edit when codes change. A short exceptions report each run, so nothing is silently forced through.
The manual path stays available, so a bad day doesn’t stop the business.
